Seminar Space & Rules
At the Seminar Time
- We share a clean and well-maintained space to create harmony for us.
To Keep Us All Safe
- We have decided on a number of basic and logical rules that we will ask all participants and guests to follow with understanding and love.
Food
- The seminar space is vegan, so the food we bring into the space is vegan only (no meat, fish, or dairy products).
Clear Mind
- No drugs or alcohol in the space and no use during participation at the seminar.
Animals
- We love animals but leave them off-site.
Noise
- Sound is a vibration in space, so we are sensitive to ourselves and others about the amount of noise we create.
Smoking Tobacco
- Allowed outside only, with sensitivity to others.
Order and Cleanliness
- We keep the common space clean and tidy. Help as you can.
- Hygiene: If you prepare or make food, wash your hands after using the toilet and before preparing food, wash the vegetables with a little soap, and do not pass dishes from mouth to mouth.
Privacy and Personal Belongings
- Each of us has our own personal space and belongings. Respect the personal space of others, and do not touch other people’s belongings without their permission.
- Personal Space: A person’s body is in his/her full possession, so we listen to the other’s body language to understand how open he/she is at the moment to creating physical contact or communication.
Timely Arrival
- Arrive at least 10 minutes before the scheduled start time to settle in and prepare mentally.
Respectful Behavior
- Be polite and professional. Treat all participants and speakers with respect and professionalism throughout the seminar.
- No disruptive behavior: Avoid any behavior that might disrupt the seminar, such as loud talking or excessive movement.
Communication Rules
- Listen actively. Pay close attention to the speakers and other participants. Show engagement by nodding, maintaining eye contact, and avoiding distractions.
- Ask questions politely. If you have questions, raise your hand and wait for permission to speak. Keep questions concise and relevant.
Device Management
- Turn off or mute all smartphones and electronic devices to minimize disruptions.
- No use of personal electronics: Do not use laptops, tablets, or other personal electronics during the seminar unless specifically instructed by the speaker.
Confidentiality
- Respect privacy. Keep all information shared during the seminar confidential and do not discuss it outside the designated spaces without permission.
Feedback and Engagement
- Provide constructive feedback. If you have feedback for speakers or organizers, provide it in a constructive manner after the seminar.
- Engage in discussions: Participate actively in group discussions to enhance your learning experience.
Environmental Awareness
- Maintain cleanliness. Help keep the seminar space clean by disposing of trash properly and not littering.
- Recycle when possible. Use recycling bins for recyclable materials and encourage others to do the same.
Respect Time Limits
- Adhere to schedules: Be respectful of time limits set for presentations, breaks, and networking sessions.
- No late arrivals during sessions: Avoid arriving late during sessions as it can be disruptive to both speakers and other participants.
Follow Organizational Guidelines
- Observe all policies. Adhere to all organizational guidelines and instructions provided by the seminar staff.
- Safety first: Follow all safety protocols and emergency procedures communicated during the seminar.
Commitment Period
- Participants commit to attending the seminar for the entire duration to ensure a meaningful learning experience.
- Extending participation: If you wish to extend your stay, please register with the main community office.
Initiated Shortening of Stay
- In some cases, the core group may decide to shorten the participation period and inform the person while providing an appropriate waiting time.
